God doesn’t want us to set down our anxieties at our feet and expect him to come and pick them up so that he can take them off our shoulders. He wants us to aim at him, make sure we’re sending them in the right direction, and then forcefully throw them at him.
What miracle have you been expecting that you feel has fallen short? Could it be that you are in your Saturday? The day right before the most amazing thing is about tp happen? Are you turning around and getting ready to go home without a miracle just because you’re not willing to wait long enough?
I got to see the results of what I did for them. I loved that! I also wanted them to be able to get back to “normal” life now that they had their baby. I was excited for them to go home with her and get into a routine. To be able to watch their precious baby grow and learn. They now have this precious life to watch over and teach and train. I got to be a part of that and it has forever changed me to my very core! There is nothing more precious than being able to give the gift of life. No matter how that life come to you it is an absolute miracle, not to be taken lightly.
In this hectic world filled with thing tugging at me every moment of the day, it seems I can find myself in a never ending cycle to hold tight to my joy. I like to laugh, and have fun. I love the feeling of my face hurting because I have been smiling so much. I like to feel the small accomplishment when my abs hurt from laughing. It also makes me feel like I got a workout in that day.
If we sat down for coffee today it would probably be my third cup. I would have to apologize because my brain would be going a million miles a minute trying to talk to you while simultaneously making a bullet point list of the seemingly endless tasks to be done in the house. We would also have the children running around like chickens with their heads cut off. I would like to say that it’s just because it’s Saturday and have the energy, but I’m pretty sure it’s because I gave them waffles for breakfast. I was in the middle of doing something so I let my oldest put on the syrup. So it’s all the sugar that’s got them slapping each other and jumping on all my furniture.
